The new machine at Strojírny Prostějov s.r.o. is now in operation! Strojírny Prostějov s.r.o. continues to develop its technological capabilities, and after many years of experience in custom manufacturing of demanding welded structures, the company is reaching another milestone.
The new horizontal boring mill WFT 13 R CNC from the Czech manufacturer Fermat is already fully operational.
The standard delivery time for the machine, including its foundation, was 8 months, but it was reduced to 6 months, and the machine has been in operation since the beginning of December.
This modern machine has replaced the previously used TK11 center and brings higher machining accuracy and broader technological capabilities.
Employee training, which took place in recent weeks, has been successfully completed, and the team is now fully prepared to maximize the potential of the new machine. At the beginning of January, post-processors were installed on the key machining centers, and from January 13, programmer training is underway. During the first quarter, the phase of program creation will be transferred off the machine, leading to an additional increase in machining capacity.
Strojírny Prostějov is now able to provide top-tier solutions to clients worldwide, with key markets including Germany, Spain, and Switzerland.
Currently, the machine is being used to machine the bed of a precision grinder for a Swiss customer.
